Seasonal Field Projects Coordinator

Office Phone: (303) 715-1010

Alan Navarro is a Seasonal Field Projects Coordinator for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC). He is responsible for planning and leading hands-on environmental projects with volunteers across Colorado; facilitating project planning, pre/post event logistics, and related communications with VOC staff, land managers, partner organizations, and volunteers; and managing projects with corporate groups through VOC's Team Stewardship Day program.

Alan's love for the outdoors and natural environment was sparked by obtaining a geography/environmental studies degree. After graduating from UCLA, he worked in ecological restoration and horticulture roles with AmeriCorps and non-profit organizations. Most recently, Alan served as a Team Leader with the Watershed Stewards Program, in partnership with AmeriCorps, where he gained experience in project management, administration, and project coordination in California.

After spending time in seasonal positions in Nevada and California, Alan looks forward to working and living in Colorado. Outside of work, you can find Alan in the gym, hiking, looking at plants, birding, and exploring places. He is a huge sports fan who watches games every week and enjoys trying new food.
