PARTNER RESOURCES
PARTNERSHIPS MAKE STEWARDSHIP POSSIBLE
At Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC), we believe it takes all of us to care for the outdoors, which is why we share knowledge and promote best practices between VOC and stewardship organizations of all types and sizes.
Since 1984, VOC has partnered with land managers and outdoor stewardship organizations in Colorado and across the country to provide hands-on project management, skills training, and custom consultations.
Together, we can engage more volunteers in more communities and accomplish more on-the-ground work.

VOC PARTNERSHIP OFFICE MODEL
To better meet the needs of local land managers and expand volunteer capacity, VOC developed an innovative Partnership Office program.
We currently have two Partnership Offices: one with the U.S. Forest Service Rio Grande National Forest and Bureau of Land Management to serve the San Luis Valley, and one with Greeley Natural Area & Trails to serve Weld County. Each office is staffed with a full-time VOC employee who works directly with the land management agencies to grow volunteer stewardship programs in their local area.
MEET WILDER!
A crumpled soda can. Doggie bags lining the side of the trail. Is this the Colorado we want to leave behind?
Wilder doesn't think so. Part-yeti, part-mountain goat, this gentle giant calls the outdoors home, and he wants humans to enjoy it with him. But lately, he's noticed some not-so-nice behavior out on the trails. So he's teamed up with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) to encourage us all to think twice about how we behave when playing outside.
Part of Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO)'s Generation Wild campaign, Wilder has traveled across the state to remind children and families of the magic and wonder in nature. Now, he's helping us learn how to not just enjoy Colorado's wonderful outdoor places, but how to take care of them, too.
GROSSMAN SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships distributed by Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) help make educational dreams possible for Coloradans who have demonstrated a commitment to caring for our environment's natural resources.
Available scholarship funds total $50,000 of scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year, thanks to the generosity of former VOC Board Member Rick Grossman and Susie Grossman, and to funds from Great Outdoors Colorado through the My Outdoor Colorado (MOC) Coalition.
