Each year, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) brings thousands of people together through more than 120 stewardship projects across the state. Volunteers build and maintain trails, restore wildlife habitat, contribute to community science efforts, care for community gardens, mitigate wildfire risk, and so much more.

  • Why should I give now instead of another time of year?

    This is a great question! Your gift goes farther when you donate for Colorado Gives Day (between 11/01/2026 - 12/8/2026), so VOC will receive additional funds on behalf of your donation if you give during this time.


    How?


    Every donation VOC receives between November 1, 2026, and Colorado Gives Day (December 8, 2026) counts toward one of the largest community incentive funds in the nation! Here’s how it works: VOC will get a portion of the incentive fund based on our share of the total amount raised. For example, if we raise 1% of the total funds, we would receive 1% of a $1M Incentive Fund.

  • Do I have to wait until Colorado Gives Day on December 8th to have my donation count towards the incentive fund?

    Nope! All donations made to VOC between November 1, 2026 and December 8, 2026 will be counted towards the incentive fund.

  • What and when is Colorado Gives Day?

    Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide day of giving that has contributed more than $500 million to Colorado nonprofits since 2010. This year, Colorado Gives Day falls on Tuesday, December 10.

  • How do I give?

    We encourage you to make your donation at coloradogives.org/organization/voc. Click the “Donate” button at the top of the page. Then, enter your information and click the "Pay" button at the bottom of the page.

  • Is my donation tax-deductible?

    Yes. All donations made to VOC featured on ColoradoGives.org are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. After you donate, you will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgment letter. Community First Foundation will also email you a copy of that letter.

  • About Third-Party Processing Fees

    The processing fee on ColoradoGives.org is 3.99% per transaction. The fee includes:


    • 2.05% – used for payment processing costs
    • 1.94% – helps support the cost of maintaining and enhancing ColoradoGives.org in partnership with our software provider, Mightycause. It also contributes to the administration of Colorado Gives Day and ongoing year-round giving efforts on ColoradoGives.org.

    Donors can choose whether or not to cover the fee during the giving process:


    • If donors do not cover the fee, then donors are not charged any fee, and 2.05% will be deducted from the amount distributed to the nonprofit(s).
    • If donors cover the fee, then donors will be charged 3.99% and their entire intended amount will be distributed to the nonprofit(s).

Sweepstakes Rules:

  • Early-bird Contest: Make a donation of $25 or more on VOC’s Colorado Gives Day website or email development@voc.org between November 1 and November 30, 2026, to be entered to win a round-trip United Airlines flight.
  • Each weekly contest runs from 12:00 AM on Monday through 11:59 PM on Sunday of that week. Make a qualifying donation or email development@voc.org within the time frame to be entered to win a prize.
  • Weekly campaign donations will also qualify donors to win the Early-bird campaign prize if made within the November time frame.
  •  Winners will be notified by email the following week after each contest’s closing; winners must reply within 7 days to confirm their acceptance, or a new winner will be chosen.
  • Donors cannot win more than one prize during the Colorado Gives Day campaign.

*Eligibility is not contingent on a donation. Please contact development@voc.org to be entered without a donation before the stated deadline.
