About Alex
Alex is the Systems Coordinator for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC). She is responsible for managing data entry for VOC's volunteer database and CRM database, supporting communication and outreach, and assisting with board of directors administration.
Prior to joining VOC in March of 2026, Alex worked as a technician for Colorado Parks and Wildlife in the invasive species department, created social media content for a bird reintroduction project, and worked on a sawyer crew through AmeriCorps. Alex holds a dual degree in Journalism and Geography from the University of Denver, along with a Master's in Climate Change and Sustainability from the School for International Training. Alex is excited to bring her experience in natural resources, communications, and environmental science to VOC.
Alex moved to Denver from Boston in 2018 and hasn't stopped exploring Colorado's beautiful outdoors since. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, taking dance classes, reading sci-fi, and trying new hobbies. She is incredibly passionate about Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and always willing to give book recommendations!
