Since 1986, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) has been a leading source of training programs for outdoor stewardship and leadership skills.
Each year, we train hundreds of people through our Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI), not only to lead VOC volunteers, but also to assist government agencies and stewardship organizations across the country in effective and sustainable stewardship efforts.
- For VOC Volunteers: The success of our volunteer projects rely on dozens of trained volunteer leaders, including Crew Leaders, who guide volunteer crews on VOC projects; Crew Chefs, who plan and prepare meals for VOC volunteers; and Tool Managers, who organize and transport tools and equipment. Learn more about volunteer leadership opportunities with VOC.
- For Volunteers & Employees from Other Organizations: OSI trainings, held each year from March - October, are open to the public and provide in-depth training in topics such as trail design, first aid, ecological restoration and more.
