Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado's Cairn Youth Program is an awesome opportunity for high school students, ages 14 to 18, to learn about environmental issues through hands-on service projects and outdoor adventures. Cairn participants meet monthly from September to June and explore important environmental issues with VOC mentors and experts from local environmental organizations. Cairn participants also get the opportunity to build leadership skills by planning and executing their own unique conservation volunteer project.
The 2010/2011 Cairn program kicks off in September and applications to join are due before then. To learn more, join us for an open house at VOC’s office in Washington Park on Thursday September 9th at 6p.m. (600 S. Marion Pkwy, Denver). You can also learn more here, or by contacting Sam Wilson at 303.715.1010 ext. 114.
