Stewardship with a Team (SWAT) PDF Print E-mail

Stewardship with a Team (SWAT) connects groups with volunteer opportunities that meet their scheduling needs and organizational objects. SWAT work days focus on critical conservation work while providing opportunities for team and community building.

VOC works with an extensive network of land managers to develop customized projects that will be meaningful and convenient. Your team can participate in a one-time, half-day project or develop an ongoing relationship involving work days throughout the year.

Benefits of SWAT

  • Great team building opportunities as you get dirty and sweaty with co-workers.
  • Enhanced employee satisfaction as you provide new opportunities for community service and involvement.
  • Positive positioning of your organization as a steward of Colorado’s public lands.
  • Environmental Education on critical issues that affect public lands and your role in addressing them.

VOC makes your SWAT day smooth and fun with:

  • Project Educational Packet with directions and key project information before the project.
  • Team photograph of your team in action.
  • A free pair of VOC work gloves to bring some of Colorado’s dirt home with you!

SWAT Fees

Fees for a custom SWAT project vary depending on number of volunteers, location, duration of your project and logistical considerations like meals and transportation. Special arrangements can be made for overnight options.
